Welcome
CISV London members benefit in a variety of ways from being involved in CISV. One key benefit it that participants gain experience as leaders within the organization and can then take their leadership skills to outside groups to further develop them. CISVers also develop friends locally, nationally and internationally. Participants are introduced to the world around them and begin to see the rest of the world in a different perspective.
About Us
Our Mission
CISV educates and inspires action for a more just and peaceful world.
CISV International is a global organization dedicated to educating and inspiring for peace through building inter-cultural friendship, cooperation, and understanding. Founded in 1950, today we are a federation of over 60 National Associations with over 200 Chapters or local groups.
In 2017 we hosted 48, 11 year olds from 12 different countries. Check out this awesome video by one of our staff members Nick Lavery, explaining what a village is and how CISV works to educate and inspire action for a more just and peaceful world. Thank you too all those who came out to lend a helping hand, it truly was a life changing experience for all everyone involved.

Testimonials
from recent participants
“As a CISV leader, I gained valuable experience working with children and engaging with people from all different corners of the earth. Not only did I learn so much about the different cultures present at Village, but I learned more about myself than I ever could have imagined. Leading with CISV was a fantastic addition to my resume and helped me get in to teacher’s college. It’s not just fun and educational for the children, but for the adults too! I’ve made friendships and memories that I will never forget thanks to CISV.”
– Elizabeth MacDonald, 2019 Village Leader
Wonderful job with those kids that need us and people from various places all over the world. I will definitely join your group as a volunteer.
